The battery life is extended slightly when you use at a lower volume, but you can always keep it powered if using for longer periods.The sound quality is excellent, especially if you compare to other smaller Karaoke machines. The bass is rich, which is perfect for many genres of music.Having Bluetooth built-in is excellent. You can stream music or sound from any Bluetooth enabled device, like a mobile phone. You can also play from USB, TF Card, and AUX port. You really have options.We ordered this for the P.A. ability using the two (2) wireless microphones that are included. This feature is great for making announcements or speeches, especially at events like a networking meeting. The room is small enough for ambiance, but too large to be heard clearly without an amplified source.The only thing I do not like is the microphones are battery operated (2x AA in each mic, not included) and there is not a storage compartment on the speaker to store the two microphones, when not in use. There is an opportunity for the manufacturer to make the microphones rechargeable, which would be far more advantageous to the consumer. Perhaps, a future iteration will include this feature.Other cool features, like the lighting effect (can be turned off or changed) and the remote control, are very thoughtful additions and come in handy. The remote also requires batteries (3xAAA), which sadly are not included. I also enjoy the built in handle that can be used to carry the speaker. When folded down, you are able to rest a phone in the slot. This is good to have if you are using for Karaoke, especially with a Karaoke APP that offers on-screen lyrics. However, as mentioned, this was ordered more as a really large Bluetooth speaker with easy to pair microphones.All in all, this is a really huge improvement over other smaller Karaoke style speakers I have used in the past. The sound is decent and the microphone quality is quite impressive, there is even an echo setting. I found that the price point at the time of ordering was way north of a good value ($300), but has dropped into the range that the quality outpaces the price point, at the time of writing this review ($139.99). The lower price is a much better value, and I have adjusted this review to reflect this new found value.Recommended for quality, mobility, battery life, and sound. Order at least 4AA batteries and 2AAA, if you do not have on hand. Otherwise, your time to fun/use will be delayed.In the event that experiences change or evolve, updates may be made to this review to address such developments.

The speaker sounded like it was on volume 2 no matter how loud I turned the knob. Had to return. Too bad because it seems like it would have been a solid choice.
