Initially, I didn’t observe any true maintenance or “pulse” behavior and assumed it continuously pushed 13.5V until its battery was drained.However, through monitoring with a battery voltage tracker and testing both with and without a connected power bank, I’ve seen that the CS FREE does adapt its behavior once the car’s starter battery is full — shifting to what looks like a smart, pulse-style charging mode that preserves charge without over-delivering current.This means it does act as a proper maintainer when the battery is near full. While its internal battery capacity still limits long-term off-grid use (you get about 2–2.5 days from a full charge), pairing it with a high-capacity USB power bank can extend this to 4–5 days, which is perfect for people like me who don’t drive their cars daily.In short: I now believe the CS FREE performs closer to how CTEK claims — but it takes some experimentation to really see its strengths.[My initial review]I bought the CTEK CS FREE for a very specific reason:I own a car (Mercedes C-Class convertible) that I don’t drive often, and it’s parked in an underground garage with no power outlet. This could save both time and fuel while preserving battery health.⸻Clarification for potential buyers:CTEK describes this device as a smart, adaptive charger — and it works well in that role. However, in fully off-grid mode (using only its internal battery), it doesn’t deliver a pulsed or intermittent charge. Instead, it holds 13.5V continuously, which steadily drains the unit’s own battery. Ho preso questo dispositivo perché non avendo un garage e usando la vettura per brevi tragitti, grazie anche al satellitare capitava che dopo qualche mese mi toccasse smontar la batteria per ricaricarla, perché altrimenti la centralina a volte impazziva e dava allarmi vari, con questo dispositivo posso ricaricarla anche senza avere una presa di corrente vicina.Dopo questa premessa parliamo del dispositivo, ha un solo pulsante per accenderlo e spegnerlo, una presa di uscita a cui collegare i morsetti che vanno alla batteria, una presa usb c per la ricarica del dispositivo, poi ha un’altra presa usb c e una usb A che servono a caricare o alimentare altri dispositivi come smartphone.Il manuale è un po’ troppo semplificato, le prima pagine è piena di disegni che illustrano le funzioni del dispositivo, la parte scritta in molte lingue compresa l’italiano, riporta solo le avvertenze senza esplificare i disegni, per cui avendo il dispositivo un solo pulsante e dei led, ti ritrovi a collegare il dispositivo e ad avviarlo sperando che faccia quello che tu vorresti che facccia è senza neanche la sicurezza di sapere se ha finito o meno in quanto ti può venire il dubbio sul fatto se il dispositivo abbia finito o meno.

dubitatif sur l'utilisation ainsi que le mode d'emploi. je positionne le chargeur et j'ai que la lumiere start qui clignote et au bout d'un moment le Cteck et vide mais je n'arrive pas a savoir si la batterie a chargé ou pas ? Et cela j'ai repeté la peocédure plusieurs fois !!! si quelqu'un a une idée ??

Lever jag utanför civilisationen kan jag ladda det inbyggda batteriet med solfångare eller från bilens cigarettändaruttag De möjligheterna kostar extra.Jag får dessutom en mycket bra och skonsam laddare till mitt bilbatteri.En mycket mångsidig och kapabel produkt.
