The cup came well packaged and no marks. It works with boiling hot water but the white flash takes up a lot of the pictures so it's a bit boring to me, but then it wasn't for me, it was a gift.But... There was a label on the inside which stated it was not to be used in the dishwasher or microwave. I tried for quarter of an hour to remove this label even using a knife to scrape it off. It was useless. So beware. I didn't need to resort to my chemical sticky label remover, I preferred to wrap a knife in kitchen roll and scrape it off with the boiling water. It eventually worked. Why couldn't they just use a 'friendly' label or put it on the bottom?I have now reboxed it for the kid I'm giving it to. So he can use it without thinking about it. What a palaver!
