I've been looking for a decent pair of bolt cutters for a while, I just never actually bought one. Unfortunately due to moving house we desperately need one for a few reasons. So, after looking around on Amazon for a while and reading the reviews I purchased these.First thing, these are heavy, they don't look as heavy as they are, so that was a surprise. They were also extremely difficult to use. The joints and moving parts required oiling and allowing that to soak in before they could be opened more than a few millimetres easily. You could open them wide, but it requires either considerable force, or standing on one handle. Other purchases may differ, but that is the experience we had. So, after soaking the hinges and moving parts in oil over three days and working the mechanism, they now open and close easily. Off we went to cut off the things that needed cutting, and finally the last thing.My motorcycle has been sitting in the yard for several years without moving, it's under cover and stuffed to the side. Unfortunately my health had taken a turn for the worst when we moved and I was unable to work on it as I had intended. So it got sadly neglected. As we were clearing the garden and yard for the move, the bike became a problem. The chain had rusted solid, there was nothing we could do with it as this had locked the back wheel and the bike couldn't be moved. Hoping that this tool was up to the job, I set up over one of the chain links and hauled away on the handles. I bit through the chain with surprisingly little effort, although it was a matter of cutting one side of the link then the other, but it did it, with no damage to the blade. To be honest, I didn't think it would do it, but I was wrong, the tool worked perfectly and everything we needed cut, was. The head and blade have no damage (unlike other cutters we had viewed), and the shed, garden cupboard, store and motorcycle were now accessible. All within an hour of starting. So, now these things will go into the tool store until the next time my wife needs them to cut a frozen padlock. A lot of money for an item rarely used, but as it cut my bike free, easily, I am not regretting the cost.Good quality tool, good manufacturing, easy to use (once it's oiled and worked a bit) and strong enough for most tasks. You can't ask more than that these days.

Testato su un paio di vecchi lucchetti e su una catena da 6 mm. Funziona, anche se necessita di lubrificazione. Il filo delle lame sembra correttamente indurito, tranne che sulla punta che si è rovinata al primo utilizzo.
