A great little, good value, junior hacksaw.If you're used to the usual, bent metal framed junior hacksaw, then this will be a welcome change.Rather than ending up, after many cuts, with a deeply marked painful palm of your hand, this is so much more comfortable.The handle is made from a hard, rubberised/plastic, which is very easy to hold.The saw consists of two parts. A powder coated steel frame which slots into a hole in the top of the handle, and the handle itself, which is made from plastic.The blade then sits in the 2 purpose made slots, with the one on the handle, being tightened via a knurled knob.This will tension the frame, making it solid.There is no need to over tighten the blade. Just have it so it is secure and taut. Overtightening will greatly reduce the life of your blade.The knurled knob, is a square fit through the hole. Make sure it is lined up properly.When it is properly tightened, you should have approx 2 threads of screw protruding from the rear of the knurled knob.The only downside with this saw, is the supplied blade. As others have alluded to, it really is very poor. It's a shame as it could really put you off, what is a nicely designed saw.I listened to the other reviewers and purchased mine with a packet of Bahco blades. They are great. Very sharp and long lasting.I nearly knocked a star off for the poorness of the supplied blade, but ultimately the saw itself is very good.So, I've left it at 5 stars.Just a note on hacksaws in general. They are designed for, and are very good at cutting materials, such as metals and plastics.They are not designed for wood, and consequently, are very poor for this use.If it's wood you wish to cut, buy a proper wood saw.I hope you found this review helpful.

Buon seghetto manuale per lame da 150mmNon è professionale, si vede da come è assemblato, dai materiali e dal prezzo.Il manico è ergonomico e risulta comodo all'uso, non stanca.Ha una sola semplice regolazione per tendere e tenere ferma la lama.L'archetto è in metallo, così come l avite di regolazione. Il manico e la parte adiacente dell'archetto sono in plastica.la parte che non convince molto è proprio quella in plastica, non so che durata e che resistenza possa avere... sicuramente in caso di rottura sarà sicuramente quella a cedere.Tutto sommato è abbastanza preciso e sega dritto e considerando il prezzo direi che per uso hobby può andar bene.

After struggling with a crap metal rod saw frame I decided enough was enough and I needed a decent handle and an easier way of changing blades. This Draper saw works a treat, it holds the blades solid, they're easy to remove, fit and tighten, and the handle is really comfortable to hold - certainly way better than a bare metal one! It makes cutting far easier and faster too.The blade supplied really is awful, the teeth are totally bent, but I bought a ten pack of Bahco blades and now it's a cracking little saw. I didn't buy it for the blade so really it's a five star review for the frame, negative one star for the truly terrible blade.

Excellent - used to cut around 16 screws that needed shortening to fit door knobs to wardrobes. Buy an extra pack of blades! Much better and easier to hold than my very old metal junior hacksaw!
