Absolutely fantastic tool. I bought this as I am having the same problem every spring in my allotment to turn the soil in preparation for sowing beds. I always have a top layer of weeds that needs to be removed before digging. And before people mention covering the earth with weed sheets during the winter months, I live in a very windy place and the winter storms destroy everything.I used to have to remove the weeds and grass with a hoe before digging with a fork. It took me ages and my back was killing me. I bought this and it changed my gardening life. You plant it and twist it, the root system of the weeds gets destroyed, the top layer of soil is broken up. You just then need to rack the weeds out, give another go to the layer underneath to air the soil. Job done in the third of the time it would usually take me. I also used it just before sowing to air the soil once more and get rid of new weeds. The salads and carrots will be much happier, and me too!
