I use to get flats that were thicker with more cushion, and rubber soles. But when it rained they would grip the floors and caused me to fall when walking down the long halls at work on two occasions. I switched to these, no more falling, still so comfortable to wear all day with no pain, and even got compliments from some of my high school students on them.

Great shoes. I did add a little pad to the back of the shoe to stop them from rubbing on my heels and causing blisters. Very comfy and great for work.
