The system to release the ice cubes isn't very smart. It requires a great amount of force before the ice cubes brake unevenly and jump all over the place. Was a nice idea to stop using plastic and silicone containers but not practical at all.

Vale, los cubitos no van a salir preciosos como en una cubitera de plástico o silicona, pero a cambio estás usando metal que no desprende tóxicos de ningún tipo, que es la razón principal para comprar esta cubitera.

Quando si tratta di acciaio tedesco c'è da togliersi il cappello. Sono rimasto stupito subito quando l'ho visto, me l'aspettavo robusto, ma questo sembra veramente indistruttibile. In due ore e mezza cubetti perfetti, e con la leva nessuno sforzo, i cubetti si separano in un attimo. Addio al silicone che si rompe, lascia cattivo sapore, devi lasciarlo in ammollo per staccare i cubetti!

Tout à fait efficace, avec zéro plastique! Le moins, il n'y a pas de couvercle pour protéger les glaçons ou pour superposer plusieurs bacs à glaçons....

Le fond se déforme lors de la congélation, ce qui rend parfois le démoulage très difficile. Problème qu'il n'y a pas sur la version XXL que j’adore. Dommage, la qualité est top, durable et écologique, je continuerais a l'utiliser, même si le résultat n'est pas toujours satisfaisant.

I love Dreiklang's ice cube trays, they are very user-friendly and practical, identical in design to vintage stainless steel trays. The advantage to this offering is that you can keep the metal ice cube tray in the silicone tray if you want or do as I do: freeze ice cubes in the metal tray then once frozen, take the stainless steel ice cube tray out of the freezer and pull the lever up to vertical or:- wait for a few mins or run the base under or place in hot water, then pull the lever to release the ice. Simple and wonderful design. Once released I transfer the ice cubes to the large green silicone tray and place the green silicone tray back in the freezer so I can dispense at will without having to crack the ice cubes again. The other reviewer was talking nonsense: you want the water/bouillon or whatever you're freezing to fill the tray easily and the minor gap helps to do that so you don't have uneven ice cubes. Dreikland have made an amazing iteration of a classic product and improved upon it. Buy this and get a large ice cube tray from Dreikland for whisky or because you like large ice cubes and you'll be sorted!
