Having broken my leg I have been fitted with a fixator, a metal frame that surrounds the broken area therefore it is not possible to stand in a shower but I can sit. I bought the stool for both showering and also to enable me to sit at the hand basin whilst washing and shaving.The stool arrived within time and was packed in an outer large plastic bag containing the manufactures box which is nicely produced but could not withstand the delivery without being crushed. This is not really a problem as the contents arrived undamaged but I won't be able to repack it for either selling when the time comes or donating to Oxfam.The item is well made, the seat itself being of cream coloured moulded plastic with 5 captured brass nuts underneath, the legs come at two u-shaped brushed aluminium parts with four matching aluminium legs with sturdy rubber feet. The construction is simple using 5 bolts with larger plastic wing-nut heads so no tools are required and there are 5 metal and 5 plastic washers to use. Easy to put together unless you are a little frail as you do need to push the adjustable legs in to the u-shaped brackets and some people may find this a little bit of an effort if you lack some strength.Once together the seat works very well, is fairly sturdy but I find I have a little more confidence when the legs are at one adjustment short of maximum height but that might just be me. Height adjustment is very simple with all four legs having stamped numbers so you can't get it lopsided.For information I'm not too heavy at 85kg and I'm 6ft tall. All in all a very good purchase, better quality than I expected. I would certainly recommend this product.

il a supporté une dame de plus de 100 kg sans broncher...il est stable mais il ne faut pas s'amuser à le faire basculer exprès...

mi serviva uno sgabello per la doccia, quindi qualcosa che potesse essere bagnato senza rovinarsi, la mia scelta è ricaduta su questo prodotto e devo dire che è eccezionale, specie in quanto rapporto qualità/prezzo:non è molto comodo in quanto la seduta è in plastica rigida e non hai altri punti di appoggio, ma lo uso poggiandomi con la schiena alla parete della doccia quindi non è un problema, le gambe in alluminio sono leggere ma robuste, e i piedi in gomma consentono un ottima presa su qualsiasi superficie... sembrano un po instabili all'inizio ma solo perchè la presa vera e propria avviene sfruttando il peso di chi si siede, cosi puoi spostarlo tranquillamente quando non lo usi ma resta ben saldo una volta seduto!lo sgabello è regolabile su veramente tante posizioni diverse, e nella piu alta è alto quanto una normale sedia quindi non sei costretto a posizioni innaturali mentre lo usisupporta anche grossi pesi, roba non da poco per chi è di taglia extralarge e ha bisogno di prodotti simili
