I purchased this book for my son who wanted to learn the drums.The book contains warm up exercises, coordination exercises and lots of practice exercises which are simple to follow.But what makes it great is that it provides information about how the book series works and what someone new to drumming can expect. It includes details such as how to set up your drum kit and the features of different kits (electric, acoustic, Fusion, etc.).The author provides explanations of how to read the musical score, the meaning of musical terms and the rudiments of music. This is especially important for those who are new to music instruments and who have never read music before.Overall this a superb, well thought through, introductory book for drumming.
