I cant believe how much I loved this Dryden Fountain Pen! I write a lot with fountain pens and this is my favorite one. It’s heavy, the quality feels expensive even though it’s affordable, it writes smooth, the carts last longer than I expected. It comes with a spare tip and refillable carts. Im in amazed cant wait to get the red version. Very happy 11/10!

I’ve had very expensive pens in the past, but this is the absolute best. It doesn’t leak or drip, it always writes well, it’s heavy and balanced, and it looks fantastic. Great value.

Had I paid more, I would have left a negative review and returned the pen, but I have to weigh my evaluation by the fact that this is a $15 fountain pen (on sale). For that price, it's hard to complain too much.This pen is well made, but of cheap materials. It has a good heft, but don't give it a beating; it's the kind of plastic that cracks easily. With a bit of care, it shouldn't be a problem. The cap snaps on tightly and posts well on the back. Time will tell how airtight it is once it's capped.It's sold as having an extra fine nib, but it writes as thick as a European medium nib and significantly thicker than a Japanese medium nib. I docked a star for unnecessary false advertising. I expect hair-thin strikes from something that bills itself as extra fine. The nib feels rigid and the feedback borders on scratchiness, even on premium paper. You would expect that from an extra fine nib, but you don't get the corresponding thin stroke, so you have all the disadvantages of an extra fine nib and none of the advantages.The ink flow is inconsistent. Even after using it for a while, the nib goes dry at random moments and you have to go back over the last few strokes, adding a bit of pressure to coax the ink out. This happens more if you didn't use the pen for a few minutes, and then becomes less frequent as you continue to use it, but it still happens. I tested it on various grades of paper and I see the same sporadic loss of ink flow. This is my biggest complaint about this pen.The converter seems to have a good capacity and it works well, though it feels flimsy when I twist the piston.The pen is slimmer than I'm used to, but it's still comfortable to hold. Some may even prefer this. If you don't look too closely at the cheap materials, it looks elegant.Would I recommend it? It's biggest flaw is the inconsistent ink flow. Otherwise, it's a decent enough low cost medium nib fountain pen (no matter what the label says). It writes better than some of its low cost competitors, especially on cheap paper, but nowhere near as well as a Pilot Metropolitan (medium or fine). So the question is: do you want a good pen or a pen that looks good? If you want a good pen, spend an extra $10 (or $5 less if the Dryden isn't on sale) and get a Pilot Metropolitan. If you're after looks more than function, this Dryden looks much nicer than the Metropolitans.Sadly, had this pen performed better, I might have tried another Dryden model, but I'm not sufficiently impressed to give Dryden a second go.
