I used these to add to a fireplace I made. First two buckled as the glue dried.I tacked in the second pair and glued, still buckled but better.Once filled and painted they look pretty great. They're the only decoration on an otherwise 20's style fire surround I made and it looks like it's been there for decades. So, they work.
