I bought these to secure some arm caps to my sofa but they wouldn’t even go through the first layer of material. I ordered straight U shaped antimacassar pins straight away and they worked perfectly. They may be good for other things but certainly not for my problem.

I only had to use these on a soft base so thrley were fine for my needs and easy to use. May not necessarily work as well on heavy duty projects I guess it's a case of trying as thry aren't expensive and could solve all sorts of problems
