I'm a beginner. I recently bought a Hohner CX12 but I did not like it so I sent it back. As a replacement I bought a Suzuki SCX14 which I DO like but I must admit it is a rather difficult instrument to play as a beginner, not mastering yet the perfect breathing techniques. The valves keep on sticking, there's a lot of condensation and after a few minutes the notes become difficult to play so I put it aside. Now I bought an Easttop Forerunner2.0 . I didn't expect much. Very cheap and made in China.I really was amazed when I received the instrument, it is quality built, very airtight, no sticking valves of course and very sensitive. I can make notes sound by blowing to the harmonica from a 10cm distance!!It is easy to play and always sounds good, no matter the temperature. The mouth piece is very smooth, the slide works silently and the painting is top notch. Easy to clean too.I highly recommend this hassle-free chromatic harmonica! The only negative things I experienced are a lower volume output ( but that might also be a benefit during practice) and an excessive "diatonic-like" vibration of the lower reeds (lack of damping), but I think that's inherent of reeds without valves.

I decided to learn chromatic harmonica after having played diatonic for awhile. I ordered the Suzuki Chromatix, but it still has not been dispatched, even now. I got tired of waiting, so I went ahead and bought the cheaper, more quickly available East Top Forerunner 2.0, thinking that I could tolerate the lower quality until the "higher quality" Chromatix arrived. On first playing it, it immediately felt like the instrument I had been searching for this whole time when I was going through different diatonic harmonicas. I'm even thinking of cancelling the order for the Chromatix, but I'm curious to see how the East Top stands up to the Suzuki.

EASTTOP Forerunner Updated Version 2, C-scale : Its all Like. Like and more likes. An excellent product made available at a fraction of price compared to famous brands, you know the names. A harmonica player, beginner or professional necessarily needs 1. Sweet musical sounds, not a truck horn, (and every Indian or rather I must say anyone, does not necessarily intend to play blues only) this one is a pleasure for ears. 2. Jazz or filmy, the spectrum of accurate notes are important, F-2 delivers all brilliantly. 3. Air tightness, no leakage, no lung pressure, full marks here. A Chromatic version of a diatonic. 4. No valve PHD subject : See, if you don't have heart you are safe from a heart attack at least. FH2 NV sucks far less lung air, delivers more music IMO. 4. This is pure China, not a German or Japanese molecule made in China. Many Chinese products are traditionally great, noodles for example. So is this one. 5. The youtube pundits are still very cautious. Yet to speak out loud. They dare not say, yet "Yaar, this IS gOOd, go for it." We know why. 6. Life, longevity : You may be getting hold of another updated, an even better one much much before this appears to breathe its last. CONCLUSION : Lets play some fav tunes first without investing too much effort, money. And time to read all these.

I recently purchased the Easttop Forerunner 2.0 12-hole chromatic harmonica in C key, and I must say it's an incredible addition to my collection. What caught my attention first was the very economical price, offering great value without compromising on quality. The crystal ABS comb not only adds an attractive look to the harmonica but also contributes to its airtightness for a valveless chrome. I may sand flat the top of the comb surface under the mouthpiece to further tighten up the air if I want to but don’t need ti (I did it with my Forerunner 1.0).I appreciate that all keys function correctly without any issues, and the quiet slider enhances the overall playing experience. The absence of valves means no fuss or worry about temperature effects on the sound and key functions, making it a reliable choice in various conditions. As someone who owns high-end chromatic harmonicas, I can confidently say that this second upgraded version surpasses its predecessor. Whether I'm practicing in the car or on the ski slopes, the Forerunner 2.0 consistently delivers a great performance. It's a real upgrade with better design, aesthetics, functionality, airtightness, and a quieter slider. For those seeking a valveless chromatic harmonica that excels in all aspects, the Forerunner 2.0 is a fantastic choice.Excited to share my recent discovery – the Easttop Forerunner 2.0 12-hole chromatic harmonica, which I'm thrilled to take to the stage for an upcoming jazz jam. This harmonica has proven itself to be a true gem, especially when playing jazz classics like 'The Jody Grind,' 'In A Sentimental Mood,' 'Misty,' and 'Take Five.'Again, Its economical price doesn't compromise on quality, and the crystal ABS comb adds an appealing look while ensuring airtightness. All keys function flawlessly, and the quiet slider enhances the overall experience. The absence of valves means I can focus on the music without worrying about temperature effects. As someone who values high-end instruments, the Forerunner 2.0 stands out with its upgraded design, functionality, and a quieter slider. It's not just a harmonica; it's a reliable companion for musical exploration. I can't wait to showcase its fantastic sound and versatility in the jazz jam, confident that it will shine in every performance.BTW, That is so great the Forerunner 2.0 comes with a range of keys: C, G, A, B, D, F, F#, Ab, Bb & Eb (both great for playing in jazz jam without needing to transpose from C to Bb or Eb), & Db.
