Displays data from Ecowitt weather observation devices in a nice way and also provides a slot for a memory card.Screen is crowded by the huge amount of sensors it can communicate with. All this is nicely done, but Ecowitt could do a lot it to better:- Bigger screen option with more functions- OLED with crisp graphics and text- Touchscreen please, it is hard to navigate- Ability to be used as a security monitor (doorbel camera and/or security camera events)- Open the interface, allowing custom made screen layouts that others can use for free- Screensavers that can be used optionally- Proximity screen activation- Custom sound alarms for events- Crowdsource for more ideas

Was overduidelijk geen nieuw product. Was zonder omverpakking geleverd.Verkoper loog over kabel die niet nodig zou zijn. Retour. Vorige review werd geblokkeerd.

Returned it because of the illumination issue and found an identical (differently branded) item for less than half the price which did not have this issue.

So after 11 years of using a Davis VP2 set up some of the equipment was starting to fail. My budget simply didn't allow for me to go replace so I looked for alternatives. I was attracted to the modular and reasonable costs of the Ecowitt system but recognised that the build quality and accuracy wouldn't match the Davis system. I bought a separate Ecowitt anemometer, rain guage, thermometer with separate probe and the HP2560 display. I used the old Davis radiation shield with an internal fan and installed the Ecowitt thermometer probe within. After several weeks I have been impressed with the display. I like the many features which are bright and colourful on the display. It does look a bit busy so a bigger screen would have been better but i always intended to view on the Ecowitt app which I have on my phone. I've also installed an SD card to store all the data. The only drawback is that it has to be mains powered and really lacks a battery backup which would make if more portable. Even though my sensors are located on the roof and garden with the rain sensor around 35 metres away and, multiple walls reception is still strong and reliable. I've compared the Ecowitt sensors to my old Davis system and found the Ecowitt thermometer over reads by 0.2C and humidity by about 5% over. The Ecowitt anemometer definitely looses out because to the Davis one simply because it only samples every 16 secs instead oc 2sec with Davis. However I don't have ideal exposure so I'm prepared to accept this shortfall. The amemometer wind vane isn't as well dampered as the Davis one but still compares favourable so again is acceptable.The Ecowitt rain gauge hasn't really been tested yet because it's so dry but I have high hopes for it. Overall I feel the Ecowitt brand is worth the punt for all of the reasonable priced modules that seem reasonably accurate.

Me parece muy buena estación y muy completa, además se le puede añadir más elementos, como el detector de rayos y calidad del aire Ect. En mi caso tuve q compensar los valores de lluvia en la configuración. Por defecto me da 3 litros de más , comparado con las demás estaciones de mi zona , pero se corrige muy bien . Muy satisfecho , lo recomiendo

L’envoi n’est pas soigné. Reçu dans une grande enveloppe sans protection pour un petit carton qui n’était pas fermé et abimé (acheté pour un faire un cadeau mais ce n’est pas présentable). L’écran fait 16 cm par 9 cm, je le précise car ce n’est pas écrit sur le produit, je le pensais plus grand. La prise secteur fournit avec est une prise anglaise donc non utilisable en France…

Purchased this basic weather station to replace an earlier non-illuminated LCD weather station which was very hard to read and for which the outdoor sensors and wiring failed quickly in outdoor conditions.The Ecowitt behaves more like professional equipment.Very easy to set up and configure.The large back illuminated display is easy to read.The outdoor sensor seems adequately robust for fixed outdoor under rain shelter usage.The readings appear accurate compared to my limited range of reliable comparative equipment.The purchase price is competitive.For the money, I am yet to find any downside.
