A few of these mounts have come my way through Vine now; all with different configurations but the same Apple-style magnetic ring interface.In this kit, a single black magnetic adhesive ring is included for retrofitting to phones without a built-in magnetic ring. I happen to already have such a ring from a previously reviewed mount installed on my Fold 3, so I didn't need to use the one supplied in this kit. It's a 3M-marked adhesive pad, so it should perform well if installed properly.The mount itself is supplied in two separate parts; the magnetic ring and the clamp.The clamp is a moulded plastic design with steel bolt and pins and rubber pads on each clamp face. An unexpected strong odour (similar to that of turpentine) came from the plastic clamp piece once unpacked; though this dissipated quickly.There is obvious flashing and injection marks from the moulding process that haven't been cleaned up, but no sharp edges. The plastic used is the almost composite-like type that I've encountered before on various clamps and fittings. I don't think it's fibre-reinforced but it seems tough enough.The "13-52mm" clamping range is misleading. I was hoping to use this clamp on my sim racing rig, which is constructed of 2 inch (50.8mm) tubing. However this clamp won't securely hold onto the tubing, because the jaws are too shallow and their curved faces too tight in radius.The jaws do open as far as claimed, but not in a way that is useful for round tube. If it's an oval, square or other non-circular shape, then the claimed 52mm may be practical; but for round tube I'd say ~40mm is the maximum practical size.I did also discover while testing this that the wing-nut/handle used to tighten the clamp is not captive; it will come off if you open the jaws wide enough, which adds the possibility of losing it when clamping/unclamping in the field.The clamping action is however smooth and strong, with the rubber pads both protecting the clamped object and allowing for less force to be exerted to get a good hold.The magnetic part of the clamp has a ball joint into which the clamp pops. A plastic nut is screwed down around this to tighten the fit and keep the joint in place, which it does well.The magnetic ring itself is very strong and will have no trouble keeping even the largest phones in place. It might even handle smaller tablets.An inner (turned?) metal plate offers some aesthetic appeal to the mounting plate and an outer soft ring helps to maintain the orientation of the attached device.This appears to be a solid option for clamping your phone or tablet to various things; including tubes (as long as they are ~40mm or less in diameter). I don't think it's great value compared to the previous mounts I've reviewed, as they had better finishes and mostly metal parts for roughly the same money.

Magnet nowhere near strong enough. A few small bumps and it falls off. Worse if you have a case on.

Absolute rubbish . Tightened the clamp onto my motorbike handlebars the plastic distorted and the retaining pin fell out.Would not recommend.
