I write this review only a week in to buying this lathe so far so good... Started with doing a PAT test and it passed with flying colours.This was a cheap lathe compared to others, but for the low use it would get didn't warrant me spending more than £500. It was easy to set up, looks impressive in the workshop, runs very quiet so can't understand other reviews saying it's very noisy. Only complaint I can find is the spindles dog teeth don't dig in deep enough, even after setting them in with a hammer and taking your time while working, the work piece can stop turning as the teeth slip while the lathe spins will need to upgrade this.Also let down with the plastic adjustment wheel and the tool rest is a bit short.But if like me you don't do enough turning to pay out hundreds even thousands for a lathe, this is good for low use hobby work. Just don't expect it to stand up to what a multi thousand pound lathe could do.
