The execution — the materials and craftsmanship is exceptional. It's made from the same metal my MacBook Pro is made from and matches flawlessly. There are issues with the design.First... the idea is neat, but attaching the weight of your phone onto the lid of your laptop is going to cause problems if your screen isn't fully extended open or exactly 90° to your keyboard — it's too heavy. It kept pulling my screen back to an uncomfortable angle. When my laptop is on a stand on my desk and I'm working from a remote keyboard and pad., the screen is fully extended, and this works great. If you mount the holder lower down, using the phone in a horizontal landscape position, causes the phone to overlap the laptop screen by 3/4". (The screen on my MacBook Pro is very thin, so overlap is possible. I'm not sure if overlap would be possible on a thicker screen.)The next issue is the limited placement. The side that mounts to the laptop, rotates 90° (be sure you test the full range and placement, and position the rotation correctly, before sticking it down!)... and the arm is short. So if you want to be able to mount your phone both in a vertical portrait position, and a horizontal landscape position — without the phone overlapping the computer screen, the only spot for the holder is in the upper corner of the screen... where the vertical position is on the side, and the horizontal position is along the top. (This is clearly illustrated in the listing photos.) The listing photo that shows the arm mounted in the middle of the screen, which may limit the weight on the screen hinge, wouldn't permit the phone to be turned horizontally without overlapping. (This could've been fixed by making the arm 3/4" longer.)The next issue are the hinges on the phone holder — or lack thereof. There's a single hinge on the magnetic end that holds the phone. This hinge rotates the phone out, away from the screen a full 180°, so the phone is facing backwards and the back of the phone (and camera) are facing you. (This is also clearly illustrated in the listing photos.) But I don't have any occasions to twist the screen of the phone away from me like this. But I would like to rotate the phone 5°-10° towards me. The static arm is clearly in the way of that. Maybe if the opposite end that mounts to the laptop, also had a hinge that allowed the phone to be pushed away from the screen 5°-10°, there would be space in front of the arm, to rotate the screen towards me 5°-10°...It's such a low profile, when stowed away, that I'm going to keep it on my laptop because there may be some occasions when this comes in handy... like airplane travel when the angle of seat in front of you limits the the angle of your laptop screen.

This phone holder was really nice and works well. Just keep in mind that it will need to be stuck with strong 2 sided tape to your laptop screen. Outside of that, it holds the phone well and is flexible in the direction the phone sits as well.
