This is great. There's a good range of sounds available for the bass, very versatile for live and studio work, from just a little boost to cut through a mix to full on bone-shattering fuzz. There is no loss of bottom end (unless you choose so) in the normal mode, which distorts the whole signal whilst seeming to keep clarity even when fuzzed to the max. Keeping the tone dial to the left holds the bottom end nicely. The "dry" mode is my favourite, which feeds the distorted signal in over the dry signal, allowing the user a great deal of control. There is also a dry and a wet separate outputs to allow bi-amping. This is also excellent for guiitar, offering a wide range of tones between a heavy doom metal to a toppy 60's fuzz sound. It is also a solid, well built unit which seems like it'll take a good few knocks. Overall, for sound quality, versatility and price this is a brilliant pedal, probably the best within its price range. Mufftastic.

Gute Bassverzerrer sind schwierig zu finden - die meisten schneiden im unteren Frequenzbereich eine ganze Menge ab, sodass der Sound dünn wird und keinen Punch mehr hat. Darum bin ich vom Big Muff Pi begeistert, weil der eine Mix-Funktion hat, so dass der Originalsound erhalten bleibt und die Zerre verschieden stark dazu gemischt werden kann.Ansonsten ist alles in bekannter Electro Harmonix Qualität: Eine solide Metallbox, langlebige Schalter und die Potis fühlen sich auch haltbar und nicht zu leichtgängig an. Zu dem Mini-Preis gibt es keine vergleichbar gute Basszerre!

This is a fantastic fuzz pedal and also a good distortion pedal. I found the tone to not be as chunky as the ODB-3 for buzzsaw like tone but it is an absolute banger of a pedal and comparatively has a wider variety of voices than the Boss counterpart.
