I got this to help me as I have issues using the manual one and this was supposed to help save the arm pain from hours of cranking. I love that the cakes are larger, but you're still having to sit and babysit the yarn as it tangles badly because of how it pulls the yarn through. The tension is horrible and my cakes are so loose that they fall apart. It struggles to wind the yarn. Not sure if mine was defective but it's definitely not a good deal. I can wind faster by hand.

Couldn’t handle winding a small ball of yarn would stop every few seconds, and I would have to sit there and keep pushing the power button for it to work. Created very loose cakes of yarn. A hand winder I bought from Michael’s work 100 times better.

Nicht zu empfehlen! Die Fadenspannung ist ein Witz auf die könnte man verzichten, denn sie bringt absolut nichts. Habe zusätzlich den Faden mit der Hand geführt, doch bei der kleinsten Straffung stoppte die Maschine. Hatte dann tatsächlich ein Knäuel zusammen gehabt, als ich es runter nahm, hatte ich nur noch ein Wirrwarr und ich konnte das Knäuel entsorgen, denn das hätte ich nie wieder auseinander bekommen. Also Leute Finger weg.

Very frustrating. This winder kept getting the yarn tangled & kept stopping because the spring is too flimsy. It doesn’t hold the yarn to keep it from jumping off. Also you can’t adjust the speed enough, it’s just low (which is still too fast for the cheap spring) or max. Luckily I was able to get a refund
