For the first time in like ever Amazon honored it's "next day delivery" promise so I am super pleased with that. The unit came charged enough to seal 24 quart jars full of dry goods like flour, cornmeal, oats, cereal and pasta. I hope it will do more than 24 once it's re-charged, and hope it doesn't take all night to recharge! I like that it is USB because you could charge it via solar panel, or your car if your car runs, if your home's electric was off for some reason. Pretty tricky little gadget! I've ordered a vacuum canister as well so I can seal odd-ball jars as well. BTW I got 4 cups of white flour per quart jar by filling them to the top and they sealed great. Evidently vacuum sealing does not require head space, good to know.

I can use this on any of my canning jars! it works so well! I let it suck out the air for 20 seconds vs 15 just so i know I get that great seal! so far so good! everything still sealed!! When the sucker thing is low on battery itll take a bit longer to do its job... ive noticed some of my lids didnt stay sealed and those were the ones done at the end of the battery life. No indication how low it is so always keep it charged up before use.Comes with both regular mouth and wide mouth attachments, comes with a few extra sealing lids, comes with an opener (i always use a crappy old one to place ontop so i dont damage the actual lid im opening). AND it also comes with the tube attachment that would go to a vacuum sealer machine! (if you have one). I store it in the box it came in and it all fits and works so nicely!! 10/10!! I recommended this to all my canning friends!

I am in love with this sealer. It works as expected and is a game changer in storing dry pantry items as well as fresh foods and liquids. The lids fit well over both size mason lids. Removal after applying suction is easy if you just gently rock the lid. I have not had a seal fail and have reused the mason lids on dry products without problems. The charge on the suction unit lasts a long time, I used it daily for several weeks before it needed a charge. It charged quickly. Highly recommend. The product arrived on time and was well packaged.

This would be a 5 star except it just won't hold a charge. It is like the darn phone you have to plug it in every night.
