This is the first time I have ever owned an oud and I am happy to have made this purchase. I come from playing the guitar and while this instrument is quite different, a lot of the principles do crossover. The guitar pegs make it easy to tune so, I don’t have to worry about frictionless tuning like on a traditional oud. It has a beautiful sound and I really enjoy learning how to play this instrument!
