My cats like to chew cords, and this works well with my TV and AV cords to protect them.

This stuff is awesome! The cord wrap is much sturdier than I expected. I was able to cut it with kitchen shears, but it would have been difficult with shoddy scissors. I did find that the cut ends unravel, so I treated it like rope. I measured the length I needed and then took it outside to cut it and then melt the edges with a barbecue lighter. It only takes a microsecond with the flame, and it stopped the unraveling (hold it too long and it could catch on fire).
