We purchased both grey and transparent items as we have a fair selection of orchids. These are plastic, but they are a good quality plastic, nice and thick and strong. I was initially a little dubious about the grey as it seemed rather dark for my tastes, but one the orchids were transferred into the pots you hardly notice the colour, and it helps the plant to stand out. These are a good size too, so two orchids can comfortably fit in these without crowding. The transparent isn't, I would describe it as more translucent as it is not properly transparent. To be honest I rather prefer that, I don't think fully transparent would work well. So we have these set up with two grey on the outer part of a shelf and one white in the middle and it makes for a nice display. If we decide to expand the orchid collection later i will not hesitate to buy more of these pots. Very pleased with them, and very pleased with the quality. Well worth the purchase.
