The vet told me that my dogs claws were ok and did not need trimming because he did a lot of road/path walking however as he got older we felt his claws were getting too long and on top of that we noticed his dew claws were rather long and sharp. So I managed to cut a small part of the sharp dew claw but in the process managed to cut my own finger fairly badly. So checked some reviews and thought at about £10 these would be a good buy. A bit nervous at first as not experienced and worried about hurting my dog and he was also not accustomed to having his claws cut. So read instructions and decided to do the dew claws one day and 1 claw on each foot thereafter so I could get used to them and not freak my dog out. The trick is to hold his head and click small amounts and do regularly. Oddly enough he is OK with this buy not keen on the nail file that comes with it. Also before proceeding best to get one of the pens you can buy which can be used if you accidently draw blood. Overall practice will improve over time and it does clip well.

I'm a solo cat owner so I needed nail clippers that I could use on my own - these work really well, because they're shaped and held like scissors but smaller, they're easily manoeuvrable - making it easier to wrangle a cat with both hands. My technique is to sit the cat on your lap like it's a kid, grab the paw with the non clippers hand and apply gentle pressure on the pad to make the claws come out, then using the scissors you just clip the white part of the claw (Don't clip the pink - that's where the blood vessels are).

初の爪切りはうまくいくか緊張していましたが、簡単にできました！洗濯ネットに入れ落ち着かせ、ネットから爪だけ出してカット。もともと抱っこが苦手な猫なので、抱っこの体勢＆爪切りで鳴いていましたが、想像以上に簡単！切る音も大きくないし、カットも力が要らないのでパパっと済ませれました。こちらの商品にしてよかったです。
