Ordered this give it a try and I’m pleased. I distill my own drinking water so this is perfect as I now know the water in my almond milk is pure.I blended the mix with warm distilled water with a bit of honey and it was delicious. It tasted nutty and natural. I had to give it a good blend with warm distilled water to get rid of the bits, so I imagine if I was to try and blend with cold tap water it probably would be bitty.But after a good blend I popped it in a glass bottle in my fridge and it good - white and creamy!I have just given it the latte test and I’m very impressed. I have an old Nespresso with a steam frother. It frothed just as good (if not better) than the barrister almond milk I buy.Very happy and I’ll be ordering again.

I LOVE that this doesn’t have any additives, no emulsifiers or natural flavors. It’s really a good option for anyone who has the time to blend the milk or doesn’t mind the cost. The truth of the matter is with just 1 tbsp, it taste is a bit more watery and personally I prefer to use 1.5-2tbsp. So with that the cost goes up. The milk does separate which makes sense because there aren’t emulsifiers. And once you shake it it’s fine. One of the things I love about the milk base is that I can make my milk as strong or as thin as I want or need it. If I need a more creamy texture in a recipe, I mix my almond milk using more base. The only con is that it doesn’t keep as long as pre-made almond milk, or even regular pasteurized milk, but that’s easy to manage if you know approximately how much you use in a week. Cost-wise, I’m not sure how it compares to buying pre-made, but to me it’s totally worth not to deal with the containers. I should include a warning: it is possible, if you like almonds, to sit down with the jar of almond milk base and a spoon and eat half of it before catching yourself!
