Product received was not the same as product pictures. The mallet is wooden with a flimsy red cloth held on by elastic. The gong handle is a satin red ribbon that one has to tie on by him/herself. But most important, the sound produced by the gong is very unpleasing. Instead of a deep resonance, it's tinny and hard on the ears. I would not recommend this product.
