Slinky gauge combinaties werden ontwikkeld door onze oprichter Ernie Ball meer dan 60 jaren geleden, het helpen vormgeven van het geluid van rock n roll. Nickel Wound Slinky snaren bestaan uit vernikkeld staal gewikkeld rond een vertinde koolstofstalen kern voor een evenwichtige toon die past bij alle gitaartypes en speelstijlen.
Effen snaren
Alle effen snaren zijn voorzien van een reeks slotwendingen om de draad rond het kogeluiteinde te bevestigen, waardoor de stabiliteit en sterkte worden verbeterd.
Wond snaren
Nickel Wound Slinky snaren zijn nauwkeurig gewikkeld met vernikkelde staaldraad, wat zorgt voor een klassieke, evenwichtige toon met superieure intonatie en consistentie.

I've played for years on 0.10-0.46 Regular Slinky's and 0.11-0.48 Power Slinky's on Les Pauls, due to the shorter scale length.But I found that especially when playing fast lead guitar live, the 0.10-0.46 Regular Slinky's on a 25,5" scale guitar would become a bit painful after a hefty 2hr+ show.I've tried the Hybrid Slinky's and these Turbo Slinky's, and for me, the Turbo is the best balance, since it takes just a notch off the top 3 strings thicknesses, without making the high E and B strings too slinky and weak. The Hybrids have 0.09 and 0.11 for high E and B, which is too big of a deviation from 0.10-0.13 and that's where these Turbo Slinky's shine!I play a lot of 70's/80's hard rock and heavy metal, tuned in Eb and for this, these strings rock!

New strings (ernie ball) sound smuch worse than 1 year old strings that I had with my guitar. 2 smallest strings are quite ok, 3 thickest are terrible, unnatural, very metalic/springy sound. I love to play my guitar but hearing it with those strings make me feel to cut them off immediatelly.

Habe in den 80ern immer .008 gespielt, deswegen kenne ich dünne Saiten gut. Ich kann sagen, dass ich diese ganzen YT-Review-Videos recht überzogen finde, obgleich ich mittlerweile auch .013er spiele. Das Gehabe dieser Typen, die total durchdrehen und so tun, als bestünden die Dinger aus Graphen oder Aerogel und würden bei einem Flohhuster reißen, ist totaler Quatsch.Habe sie gerade auf einer 70er Strat und empfinde sie als sehr angenehm. Mal gucken, wie sich der zweite Satz auf einer LP-Style macht. Einfach mal testen, Atze!
