I have some lovely sweet apple trees & many were going to waste. This product was a revelation. It isn't a fast process if you use it's full capacity but it does a great job. Slice & dip the slices in lime juice to stop them discolouring. Then you can dehidrate the apples to a flexible "rubbery" level which the kids love, but you can take it further to an almost firm level & then store them. Personnally I put these really dry apples in an airtight jar whilst warm (not recommended by the instructions!) & they seem to slightly crispen in the jar. I can't comment about other fruit, but for apples its brilliant!

No problems, it does what it should for that price.
