I love the weight, it fits perfectly into your hand and is nicely balanced. The brush is perfect for removing debris and small insects. Great Knife for the price! i have paid double for same basic made in china style knife at mushroom festivals. Yes, the blade is dull, but you do not need a super sharp knife while wandering around the woods stumbling over tree branches in search of mushrooms with a sharp knife in your hand. It is for mushrooms, which are not generally very hard to cut and if you cut them properly to insure good identification, then you want to dig the knife below the base and cut through the dirt which would dull the knife anyway. To sharpen it, use a round sharpener if you want it sharp. i like the round carpet knife style design to be able to get under the mushrooms better, especially for tasty Boletes with the huge base. The brush is great for field cleaning the dirt before you bag em. Slightly stiffer blades would be an improvement, but good price, so 5 stars. If you want cheaper, then buy thrift store kitchen knives and duct tape a cheap inch paint brush on the end.
