Love that I am now confident walking on icy road using this item.

Up until I bought these, I relied on my regular big brand hiking boots when walking on black ice. Whilst better than normal shoes for dealing with snow, they offered absolutely no traction on ice. If any brand claims that their shoes/boots have soles with a superior rubber compound or some other technology which makes them suitable for icy conditions, don’t believe them.With the recent snow, which turned to black ice within days, I was really struggling with my normal walk to work. My journey time almost doubled, and walking downhill on ice did not feel safe at all.Using these crampons was a game changer and I was blown away by the difference they made. I was able to walk at my normal pace on the ice. I even did a short jog just to test them and did not come close to slipping. The jagged spikes are very effective at breaking any ice underfoot the moment you put any weight down. I’m glad I bought these instead of the (non-jagged) stud design of other crampons.A couple of things to note:- Remember to remove them before you step indoors, otherwise you could end up damaging your wood or laminate floor.- It’s probably best to go two sizes up. You’re likely to be wearing them over boots and not regular shoes.
