This is Kind Shock’s cartridge-based dropper post. (They have also created a mechanical spring based post in the past.) This post does not operate quickly, but with a bit of practice it is easy to operate with one hand on the bars. The overall quality feels good. I would recommend that you store your bike with the seat post raised to lengthen the life of the cartridge.
