Save yourself some money. This product is great for orchids and so much cheaper. The actual bark is 1000x better quality bark than pro mix (practically wood chips) or better gro orchid mixes. The bag is huge for the price! I’m set for a year with 40+ orchids - add some chunky perlite, horticultural charcoal (spagh if you desire) and Bobs your uncle. 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This bag is much larger than I expected! It is 17" wide x 23" tall!! We purchased to mix it in the potting soil for our tropical plants. This bag will probably last years and years! The bark size varies so it will work very well. There are some wood dust in the bag but we are completely satisfied with the generous amount of barks.

Für unser Terrarium, in dem sich Stabschrecken befinden, habe ich einen Bodengrund benötigt. Theoretisch ist es möglich für Stabschrecken den Boden des Terrariums mit Küchenkrepp auszulegen. Rein optisch hatte mir das nicht gefallen so dass ich nach einer anderen Lösung gesucht habe. Nach verschiedenen Versuchen mit Kokoshumus und anderen Bodensubstraten bin ich jetzt mit diesem Boden endlich zufrieden. Um die nötige Luftfeuchtigkeit zu erhalten wässere ich das Substrat regelmäßig. Nach ca. 2 Monaten wechsle ich das Substrat. Schimmel hatte ich trotz der hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit nie.Positiv:- Sieht gut aus- Keine Verunreinigungen wie Farbreste etc. an den Rindenstücken- Riecht angenehm- Hält die Feuchtigkeit- Hat bisher, trotz hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit, nie geschimmelt- Lässt sich gut einfüllen und auch wieder entfernen- Kann mindestens zwei Monate im Terrarium bleibenNeutral und Negativ:- NichtsDas „Exo Terra Terrarium Substrat Forest Bark“ habe ich inzwischen das dritte Mal gekauft und war jedes Mal sehr zufrieden. Auf Grund des besseren Preisverhältnisses würde ich die 26,4 Liter Packung empfehlen.
