Dieses Kartenset stellt eine Erweiterung für das englischsprachige Spiel „Poetry for Neanderthals“ dar. Wir haben also schon das Brettspiel und die darin enthaltenen Karten waren schnell durchgespielt, da es eine Zeitlang beinahe jeden Feierabend ein paar Runden Neanderthalpoesie sein mussten. Das Spielprinzip ist ähnlich wie Tabu. Nun mit der Erweiterung also noch mehr Begriffe, die nur mit einsilbigen Worten beschrieben werden dürfen, sonst gibt es vom Gegenspieler was mit der (aufblasbaren) Keule auf den Schädel. Kurzweiliges Spiel, Lachanfälle garantiert! P.S.: abgesehen von der Keule und vielleicht der Eieruhr bracht man den ganzen Brettspielkram nicht wirklich. Wer also eine Gummikeule o.ä. von der letzten Kirmes, sowie eine Eieruhr hat kann das Kartenset auch ohne das Brettspiel nutzen finde ich.

Poetry for Neanderthals is deceptively simple. It is basically a team guessing game where you can only use one syllable words for hints. It is so much harder than it seems! This game is great fun for all ages (reading is required). It is easier to play with 4 or more people, but we have successfully played with 3 and rotating teams. If you have two people, there isn't anyone available to club people on the head, lol, so we haven't tried that out. It's one of the few games that my teenagers (13 & 17) actually ask to play with us! The inflatable club is hilarious and things get really competitive. If you have played several times, I highly recommend the expansion pack, which gives you many, many more words to play with.

We really enjoyed this game as a family but ran out of cards so decided to get this card pack! This can keep the family entertained for hours and it’s a really great price for all the cards it comes with.
