This is a pretty neat add-on to the original included case. It slots into the hole on top of the case, and additional padding is provided for the gimbal head. It does a great job of preventing the camera from falling out when placed in my bag and helps reduce dust accumulation.My only complaint is that the color is slightly different from the original case, but this doesn’t affect its functionality in any way.

This is so genius although I do wish it clipped together rather than the rubber band attachment. Otherwise it’s the best protection I’ve found that allows you to utilise the original case the pocket 3 is supplied with, which is inadequate by itself as it allows the gimbal head to move causing the lens’s to not be properly protected.I’m so glad I took a chance on this case

The Osmo Pocket is a well made video camera however it does have a weak and fragile part, the gimbal. The plastic holder supplied with the Osmo Pocket does offer protection and stop the gimbal from moving around, however it doesn’t totally cover the gimbal. I am always on the look out for accessories that will keep my Osmo Pocket well protected so when the opportunity to test out this cover case I jumped on it.When I opened the cover case I was underwhelmed. The cover case is made entirely from plastic, which I was expecting, but the plastic is thin, flimsy and doesn’t feel tough. The cover case feels more like a cheap toy rather than a serious video camera accessory.The cover case fits neatly in to the Osmo Pocket case and the hinge allows it to be lowered, to create a complete case around the Osmo Pocket, and lifted to get the Pocket ready to capture some footage. The idea behind the cover case, it’s design and the way it works is superb.The cover case closes tight enough to keep the Osmo Pocket fully enclosed but not so tight that it is awkward to get it off again. The fit is perfect and I can get to, and put away, my Osmo Pocket quickly and efficiently.The cover case does offer a bit more protection to the Osmo Pocket, and the fragile gimbal, but not that much. This cover case will keep off the dirt and dust, and it will help to prevent scrapes and scratches however it doesn’t offer much more protection for accidental drops or impact.At £11.99 (at the time of review) this cover case is pretty expensive for what it is and the additional protection it offers. If you want to keep your Osmo Pocket clean and scratch free there are far cheaper alternatives out there, such as a drawstring micro fibre bag, that will do the same thing.Overall, I am happy with this cover case and I am confident it will help to keep my Osmo Pocket clean, dust free and free from scrapes and dinks.
