The mount is well designed and will allow mounting to a pole. But the maximum diameter of the 2 metal bands in 127mm each which is not large enough to fit a pole or a small tree. There is a photo in the Amazon page for this product which shows it around a tree but it looks like CGI. It should specify clearly in the details that it is 127mm max in diameter. I will have to go out and buy larger “stainless steel worm drive hose clips” if I can find them at 240mm diameter or more.
