mi piace questa penna stilografica perche' scrive in modo scorrevole, porta le cartucce universali, quindi ho tanti colori da poter usare, e non e' troppo leggero ne troppo pesante. Ed e' anche bellissima.Faccio molti appunti che mi piace fare a mano, e scrivo molto velocemente, questa penna fa un tratto sempre bello. Ho un altro Faber castell troppo leggero, e un altro troppo pesante, questo e' perfetto per la mia mano.

Function: 10/10I usually write with a Lamy Vista, but this pen is in a different league. Although from the BASIC range, the quality of the nib is amazing. This medium nib writes finer than the Lamy Vista fine nib. It feels great to hold and write with excellent ink flow. The only thing I 'll need to get used to is that this pen has a bit of weight to it, more at the rear end, due to its metal construction.Design: 8.5/10Body: the carbon fibre pattern looks stunning, probably the best looking one in the BASIC range.Cap: the main reason some people don't like the Basic range. It is hefty and frankly speaking, ugly, compared to the rest of the pen. It's made of very light plastic and pops when you pull open, sometimes smudges a bit of ink onto the grip. Really wish the cap was better designed.

I've had this pen for two months now, and I have to say that for reliability and performance, it's my second favorite pen, topped only by my Delta Unica for which I have an affection that borders on the unnatural, and I have an embarrassingly high number of fountain pens. I really have to get a grip of myself there.Anyway, the rubberized grip makes the pen extremely comfortable to hold, and the body is long enough to use unposted. In fact, posting makes it ridiculously long, and unwieldy to boot. One thing about the section I should deal with immediately. It has grooves which aid in gripping the pen, but if one fills it from a bottle, there's a risk of getting ink into these grooves, and cleaning them out can be tedious. However, if one simply fills the converter, sold separately unfortunately, inserts it and then slowly and carefully twists some ink down into the feed, the problem is solved.The cap is also of some rubberized material, a feature some might find off-putting, but I like it, and the plastic clip might also be offensive to some, but it's firm yet springy and works perfectly. To me the whole is pretty elegant, and I like the combination. Each to his own I suppose.But what makes this pen so attractive to me is the nib and the ink flow. The nib is very, very smooth with just the slightest touch of feedback, just enough to allow one to feel in control of the writing experience. For a western fine it really is quite fine, close to a Pilot Metropolitan medium, and it lays down a crisp line effortlessly. Ink flow is exceptional: I've never had any hard starts or skips in two months of daily writing, and the feed keeps up no matter how quickly I write.This is a pen that punches way, way above its weight, and I recommend it unhesitatingly.
