Beau cahier dessin,très belle qualité papier,j'ai fait l'encre ,aquarelle dessus ,le papier supporté bien,dommage que le prix est excessivement plus chère qu'ailleurs! Dommage,pour 200g comme papier on peut acheter mieux comme l'épaisseur,et moins chère.

This is a beautiful book full of high quality, thick Fabriano paper- lots of it. I love the cover design and the ribbon place marker. The paper is thick and can hold up to wet media. I tried watercolor and ink. The paper rippled a bit when wet, but flattened mostly out once dry. I only doodled- I didn’t do a more elaborate watercolor. My ink drawing pens worked great- no bleed through. I layered my marks a lot and nothing ghosted through. Some old felt markers did feather a bit around the mark, but did not bleed through the paper. Nothing else feathered like that, so maybe it was the quality of those markers. I think I could collage and beat up this paper no problem. I love this sketchbook. I think I paid about $15-16. There’s a lot of paper (especially if you use backs of pages too), it thick and good quality, the place marker ribbon is a nice touch, the cover is lovely and symbolic. I’m a professional artist, and overall I’m really happy with this purchase!

Fits in my bag, lays on the RV dash, has a paper that takes anything. Break the spine and it lays flat.

Great for practices, yhe paper is not so thick and not thin, it is just perfect. I will try a bigger format in the future.

That's probably the most important thing beyond the paper that an artist would want to know about an art journal - am I going to be able to journal, draw, paint in this thing. What a disappointment to receive this lovely book and discover that the spine is so stiff you can't easily push the book flat on a table to draw, paint or write in it.There are other journals out there with as nice paper that are lay-flat books with lovely flexible spines. This book is going to be a challenge to create in.Had I seen the book in person before purchasing I would have passed - therefore I don't recommend this 6"x9" size for creating in. Only reason I give it two stars is because the paper is nice and the cover is cool. Perhaps the much larger size has a more flexible spine that will allow the book to lay flat.
