Designed to hold the top of a cue, while the base rests on the floor. Seems to be Ok and the moulding is reasonable. Supplied without the fixing screws. Overall Good.

I actually bought these for small tool storage and was worried that they might not be sturdy enough - but they are. This also means that they are plenty good enough for fishing poles and pool cues!My niggle, to be fair, is one which others (and, indeed, the manufacturers) will see as a virtue. The clips have two screw holes for fixing them to the wall, which they say (correctly) will prevent them rotating out of true - but the same, I submit, could be said for a single well tightened screw.And therein lies the problem: having to accommodate two screw holes means that each, individually, has to be smaller, which in turn dictates smaller screws, which in turn limits your options when it comes to anchoring into anything other than wood; using these on a plaster or plasterboard wall would be a real challenge as the rawplugs would also have to be fiddly tiny, and be drilled very precisely close together. Basically, to use these you'll first have to attach a timber backing to the wall, then attach these to that. Attaching them directly onto the wall will be difficult. This, ultimately, limits their flexibility in use.I feel a bit bad knocking a star off for that but then again it is a limiting factor. If you know you're going to be going directly into wood, feel free to add that star back in.
