A sharp auger bit that easily cut through 200mm pine sleepers.

I bough this to replace one that i broke. The breaking of my last bit was all my own fault! The product itself is fine, drills a good clean hole. Just allow the bit to do its thing as it has a threaded tip to pull the bit into the wood.If you would like a set of these, ranging from 6 to 25mm i recommend these: made by faithfull, it is a good set to have and works out cheaper to buy in a set, rather than individual bits, but it depends on your needs.

Nicely made and a delight to use. Made light work of its task.

Used this for pre-drilling for 10mm lag bolts on fence posts – cleared chips easily, didn't require much pressure (that's the advantage of an auger bit), has a hex shank for better grip, and gave a good result. No issues.
