Great and comfortable

I was a little concerned about these shorts at first because they lacked an inner lining, which is not generally what is expected of swim shorts. I was also concerned because this was coupled with a white panel that ran across the middle of what appears to be extremely thin material. Thankfully, I didn't plan for my 10-year-old child to be wearing these under strobe lights, so I needn't have worried about the shorts becoming transparent.What appealed to me most about these shorts was the ability to see them under water. Could they have been brighter? Yes! Whites, blues, and black might not be apparent under water making a drowning harder to spot. For visibility, the red is fairly good, whilst the mint is adequate, particularly as the recurring palm tree pattern breaks up the plain background.My child found the absence of the lining comfortable and opts for these swimmers above all others when they are available. He also found the fit to be true to size. The light material helps them dry quickly and the shorts are practically weightless. Consequently, they have been used beach and poolside on holiday, as well as for swimming lessons.The rating would have been higher had there been lining, and had the colours been more vibrant rather than pastel, although I can forgive the cheapness of the material, which to be fair, is on par with the price originally paid for the item.
