The mattress filler is soft and seems durable. So does the belt. Overall it does exactly what it says: it hold the beds together and fills perfectly.Since the edges of the mattress filler are on the mattresses, there is a little bump that can be noticeable at first, but you have to ask yourself "Do I rather sleep in a hole or on a tiny bump?" We chose the tiny bump and are happy with it :)

Purchased to tether together two queen sized mattresses for my husband and I. We both have back and neck issues and have very different mattress needs. Mine needs to be super firm, while his needs to be really plush. I was worried that the strap may not be long enough, but it has plenty of play to easily get it around the mattresses.The bridge works perfectly. We made up the mattresses each with their own fitted sheet, then added the bridge, then laid a flat sheet sideways over the bridge so that we wouldn’t be directly on it ever, and the edges would be far enough away that we wouldn’t be getting them all bunched up. Then made up the rest of the bed with another top sheet and duvet.Not only does the bridge fill the gap, because the mattresses are tethered together it creates a reinforced edge so that as you drift toward the bridge area the mattress edge doesn’t sag at all.We did have to make a little platform for under one mattress to get them to be the same height.We’ve been using it for a week now with no slipping or anything and you can not feel the bridge unless you specifically look for it with your hand.
