This is a typically well made addition to my Multimaster - a tool I use a lot in my property maintenance business. It is fairly light but robust and adds little to the weight of the tool in use.The two screw holes line up with the tapped threads on the machine and the collar slides over the head of the tool. You then fasten the gadget to the machine with the set screws provided using the double ended hex key. Make sure these are tight as they may work loose with vibration. The depth stop housing is completely free to rotate according to where you choose to have your blade - you simply select either of the depth stops and tighten them and the collar accordingly with the hex key. The 'shoe' stop seems to work well where you are making a long cut and the 'bump' stop when you are making simple plunge cuts.If I have a concern it is that I might lose either of the two screws that fix it to the machine and/or the hex key but that's for me to manage and doesn't detract from either the quality of construction or the benefit in use.Update: I used the depth stop extensively on a complex project which involved cutting with the stop, cutting freehand without the stop and then sanding which required frequent changing of tool heads or removing the foot. I found that the collar could stay fixed to the machine throughout (rotated out of the way occasionally) but that the depth stop foot got in the way and needed removing. This left the small depth stop locking screw vulnerable to shaking out of of the mounting bracket. I have cured this by substituting the depth stop with a small piece of square metal shaft (a short length of door handle spindle was the perfect size) and clamping that in place instead.

Der Tiefenanschlag macht aus dem Multicutter, der von vielen als "Problemlöser" oder "Notfallwerkzeug" angsehen wird ein Präzisionswerkzeug, mit dem sich sehr genaue Tauchschnitte und Ausklinkungen im Holzbereich durchführen lassen.Im direkten Vergleich mit dem Bosch GOP Tiefenanschlag (der aus Kunststoff gefertigt ist) sind bei dem Fein Tiefenanschlag die meisten Teile aus Metall gefertigt. Die Arretierung erfolgt zwar mit zwei Schrauben, die über einen 4er Innensechskant festgezogen werden, (im Gegensatz dazu wird bei Bosch einfach ein Hebel festgedreht/geklemmt), aber ich habe im Betrieb gemerkt, dass der Fein Tiefenanschlag durch seine Verschraubung defintiv sicherer hält.Den von einigen Kunden beschriebene Bruch der Arretierung beim Fein habe ich bisher Gott sei Dank nicht beobachten können. Ich könnte mir schon vorstellen, dass dies ein Schwachpunkt an dem Tiefenanschlag sein kann und rate daher zum umsichtigen Anzug der Madenschraube. Ganz nach dem Motto "Nach Fest kommt ab"Für ca. 20€ ein fairer Deal, falls mein Tiefenanschlag kaputt gehen sollte, werde ich mich hier noch mal melden.
