The Fender Nylon Acoustic Strings, 130 Clear/Silver, Ball End .028-.043, were purchased during October of 2023 for $12.82 plus tax. They are now avaialable for $12.99 (November 22, 2024).As a complete novice with any guitar technology, I can only comment on my currrent experience with these strings...there is no comparison avaialble to any other experience.A few months earlier, I purchased an Ashthorpe Full-Size Left-Handed Cutaway Thinline Acoustic-Electric Guitar Package...also from AMAZON, to teach myself the Flamenco Guitar Technique. Upon doing research on some of the fundamentals of the technique, and tradition, I recognized that it would be advantageous to replace the metal strings, that came with the guitar, with nylon strings...for a more authentic sound.In addition, making the replacement would also give me some practice in some of the routine maintenance of owning a guitar. It was rather exciting to be doing this as the decision to obtain the guitar was a somewhat tedious process...especially in light of the plethora of guitar choices avaialable for a mysriad of different styles, techniques, and traditions.After the requisite tool kit had been acquired, the process of replacing the strings was rather straight forward. Of course, with videos featured on YOUTUBE, the process was reduced to a very simple set of steps. The process was made even more convenient by the use of the ball end strings rather than the tie end strings. It was important to take time and enjoy the process in order to complete the replacement without any undue impedances.There is no comparison between the sound of the nylon strings compared to the metal ones. I am thoroughly elated at the choice of these strings to augment my effort to learn the Flamenco Guitar in the traditonal technique. I will continue to purchase these Fender Nylon Guitar Strings as long as they suit my objective.
