I recently installed the Fender Pure Vintage ’63 P-Bass pickups, and they have completely transformed my bass. I did a lot of research before buying, comparing the Fender Pure Vintage '60 & '62, along with the Quarter Pounders and several others and these stood out to me. These pickups deliver everything you’d want in a classic P-Bass tone—fat low end, punchy mids, and just the right amount of top-end clarity.These pickups handle clean tones and overdrive/fuzz equally well. The low-mids are thick and full, giving every note a powerful presence, while the added treble clarity keeps the tone from getting muddy. Whether I’m picking near the bridge for definition or digging in with my fingers for warmth, these pickups respond beautifully.Compared to the stock pickups (which were not bad at all), the difference in sustain and clarity is night and day. Paired with a HiMass bridge, my P-Bass now has incredible note definition and dynamic response. Plus, these pickups sit perfectly in a live mix, cutting through without overpowering the band.If you’re looking for vintage P-Bass tone with serious authority, the Pure Vintage ’63s are the way to go. Fender nailed it with these!

I put these in my 2016 fender MIM precision bass. Its the sound that I wanted. playing this guitar now as much as my Ricki and loving it!
