Threaded end is for 32mm hoses. The other end is soft rubber and slips over 36mm/ 1.5" ports or vac accessories. The photo is incorrect- it doesn't have the green piece.

I ordered this based on the photo, which is wrong. The product shown is the D36 bayonet fitting, but I realised after receiving the order that the picture is actually of part number 500670. The part supplied (500671) is the non bayonet version (called a reducing sleeve), which fits fine but is a flexible rubber fitting instead of the Festool-specific bayonet. It seems many suppliers of this part are displaying the same incorrect image. On another note, Festool are really taking everyone for a ride price-wise. Festool fans will argue you are paying for higher quality but it simply isn't true. This is a plastic hose connector and should cost half of this. I am also making up my own hoses because Festool want £40 per metre for their branded hose. They are taking the mickey.
