It works as expected and holds the polishing pad in place. Not sure what would happen if I had used the white pad that came with the RO90 to hold the polishing pads.

The Festool RO90 is my most used sander by a long way; it so versatile! These green pads allow the RO90 to use 75mm buffing and foam pads for polishing. Switch the sander to Rotex mode and the results are rapid and impressive. The small pads offer great access in small areas but don't use excess pressure as the pad will overheat and delaminate.
