This stuff is ~10x stronger than any other flexible magnets I've used. ~2.5cm of it easily supports my phone. My understanding is it's made with real neodymium (NdFeB) mixed into a rubbery matrix. No one in the US sells anything like it and I'm jealous that Europeans have easier access to such awesome magnets. But be sure you use it correctly.- DO NOT STICK OTHER MAGNETS TO IT. These strips have tightly packed linear magnetic poles. If you try to stick a regular magnet to it, those tightly packed poles will fight push and pull the magnet you're trying to stick, resulting in a weak hold. But if you stick some mild steel, you'll really feel its strength!- See my photo which tries to show magnet's linear poles.- You can also stick the magnet to itself, but only in one orientation where you line up the poles.- Its not strong on the adhesive backed side.- Unlike a regular magnet, the strength drops off quickly with distance so don't cover the magnet with anything. You need direct contact for a strong hold. Once you've moved a couple millimeters away the magnet's strength drops off quickly. This can be a good thing if you want a strong hold on contact but minimal effect otherwise. The 3m adhesive quite strong. Just be sure you're sticking it to a clean surface, ideal clean it with a solvent like isopropyl first, and then use LOTS of pressure when applying it.Cheers

I purchased this as an alternative to using embedded neodymium magnets as a convenient removable/temporary fixing system of plastic parts to ferrous metal panels. I'd managed to embed a number of small neodymium magnets on the plastic parts - sizes of the magnets were about 2mm thick by 5mm wide by 10mm long of the strongest type N52 - roughly every square inch or so. I had to put a very thin (0.1mm) rubber sheet over the top to protect the finished metal sheet from the magnets as they might scratch. Then I found the adhesion was quite poor overall. I've come across magnetic adhesive tape before but know the normal type (ferrous magnet material) to be very weak indeed and this was why I chose to embed the magnets originally. After having seen the Neoflex tape, I purchased some 19mm wide rolls and used this to line the back of the plastic parts, and still fitted a thin 0.1mm thick rubber sheet over the top to make the attachment surface smooth/safe for the metal I was sticking the parts too. The pull/adhesion is much improved - now more than satisfactory for what I wanted, and I'm really impressed. The tape is adhesive backed with genuine 3M pressure sensitive tape - thin and with very good adhesion. The tape can be bent back on itself down to about a 3mm radius or 6mm diameter turn believe it or not - it doesn't snap and the tape recovers perfectly if you straighten it again. You can see the tiny flecks of neodymium in it. It will cut/trim with scissors or a sharp knife, but given the tiny flecks of magnet you can feel some roughness on a cut edge which I was worried might eventually scratch the polished metal surface I was attaching things to, hence my choice of a rubber backing sheet. But the exposed magnetic tape surface feels very smooth, so I was probably being over-cautious. Either way - if you've thought magnetic tape might solve a problem for you if you could only find some strong enough - this is the stuff you need. Excellent, 5 stars. Hope this continues to be sold, otherwise I might just need to stock up...

This is the only flexible magnetic tape I can find that actually uses neodymium! Other magnetic tapes say they're "strong", but they're using crappy cheap ceramics instead of neodymium. While the others just say "strong", NeoFlex actually tells you the strength in grams per square cm: 400g/cm2. That’s 5.6lbs per square inch for us Americans. As I see it, the other tapes only sell because not everyone knows NeoFlex exists. (and it's hard to appreciate the differences, and it ships from Europe...)Some tips: Don't try to use NeoFlex tape to stick to itself. This is a multi-pole magnet so that doesn't work well. I've read that people try to do this and are sad...which makes me sad that they don’t know. Instead, stick some ferromagnetic metal (steel/iron) to NeoFlex and you'll have a much better time. Thin steel works well. On Amazon you can search for "adhesive metal plate" and find just simple thin steel plates you can attach to things. Those plates stick VERY strongly to NeoFlex. I put them on everything. A little 2cm strip of NeoFlex easily supports my phone. I just have one of those adhesive metal plates on my phone’s case. The adhesive it comes with is a great 3M adhesive, but be sure to apply it correctly. For strength, you must CLEAN THE SURFACE the adhesive will stick to with a solvent like alcohol or isopropyl first and let it dry. This dissolves any thin layer of residue or oil that exist, which would weaken the adhesive’s grip. Then be sure to apply LOTS of pressure on when you first stick on the adhesive. This is critical Press on the tape for a good 30-60 seconds strongly and evenly. Maybe use something to help spread out the force. Doing those two things will ensure the adhesive is strong enough to stand up to NeoFlex's own magnetic strength!Cheers. Hope NeoFlex goes on sale in the US someday. I have to wait 3 weeks for it to ship, but it's worth it!

Nul.
