初代Osmo Actionでサードパーティーのハウジングを使用していましたが、Osmo Action 5でも保険的にハウジングが欲しくてこちらを入手しました。本体の防水性能が高いのであまりハウジングはいらないのではという意見もありますが、本体を裸で使うとパッキンの劣化が早まり、結果水没が早まると思っています。その点ハウジングがあれば本体はあまり濡れないので、長く使うことができます。初代Osmo Actionもハウジングで数年使用できました。そういう意味で私的には本体の保険的な使い方なので、50メートル防水がどこまで耐えられるかはあまり気にしておりません。アクションカメラだとハウジングが安価な所も助かります。こちらはカラーフィルターがついておりシーンによって使い分けられますが、海の状況で色味が変わってくるので海に入る前に決め打ちするのは難しいなと思ってしまいました。この辺りは慣れが必要かも。

This set is perfect for any underwater action video enthusiasts. I’ve taken a liking to underwater cinematography, using our local lake as my new playground. The case has been solid underwater, keeping my Action 4 waterproof. The supplied filters are well made (just like the originals). My favourite is the red filter, the colours pop when I’m underwater (try looking at underwater wrecks using this filter - wow)!

This was a perfect fit for the original Osmo Action camera or the DJI Osmo Action 3 as it is now called. Great little kit with easy to use watertight case, three filters and some anti fog felts. The filters fit great on the case and come with little bands to make them easy to carry in the water - just tie a giant loop and put them on your writs. They aren't elasticated, so I might change them over for elastic eventually but the concept is excellent. I thought the case was good quality and the plastic seemed robust. The latch was strong, the case is water tight. Would i use this for deep diving? Most probably not, but for snorkelling or shallow water exploring, totally yes. I will also be using this for sailing and water activities - extra protection for the Osmo from splashing or an accidental knock into the water. I'm aware the Osmos are water proof, but that little side card issue is an issue and I'd rather be safe than deal with a saga for something I could have easily prevented.
