The R3 is a very good saddle. I gave it a try, but I prefer the original design Aliante Gamma saddle. The Gamma is slightly wider, has more padding, and dips a bit less in the center. The R3 does “give” or flex more than the Gamma, and riders who prefer less padding should go with the R3, but I found the original Gamma to still be the most comfortable Fizik saddle for me. It’s a bit heavier than the R3, but comfort is the most important criteria for a saddle, not weight.

Not as soft as I had imagined but it is a lot better than my factory saddle.
